Danger: Stagnant Water

Stagnant water is an incubator for malaria, encephalitis, typhoid, cholera, pathogens, bacteria, diseases, mildew, parasites, mold, viruses, e.coli, amoebas, maggots, etc. It can be fatal if swallowed. It is lukewarm. It will, at the very least, produce nausea and vomiting. Signs need to be posted.
Once again, the spiritual follows the natural.
Laodicea was located in Asia Minor-4 miles north of the modern city of Denizli in southwestern Turkey. Laodiceans had to get hot water from the closest thermal springs and cold water from nearby mountains, but by the time these waters reached Laodicea, they were both lukewarm and unusable.
Jesus Christ told this church, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue (vomit) thee out of my mouth.” Rev. 3:15,16.
Spiritually, if we are lukewarm, we have the same issues stagnant water has. All of them!
If we are in this condition, perhaps our church sign should say, Danger: Stagnant Water.
