We came to this city not to control the weak, but to produce the strong.
We came not to be served, but to stir change.
We came not to demand, but to teach.
We came to this city hoping to freely make new friends. But we are never really free, until we forgive every foe.
We came to this city to fulfil the most cardinal responsibility of any pastor-to add those who seek to be a part of the body of Christ to the Kingdom of God. And to play some small part, whatever it may be, in impacting a community.
For if we cannot now save the many who are poor, we cannot then save the few who are rich.
I think all sincere pastors everywhere can say these words.
