End of the Age

Apostolic church-we are at the very end of the church age, in the midst of an 11th hour outpouring of the Holy Ghost on all flesh, with the last few names (relatively speaking) being added to the Lamb's Book of Life, during the waning days of the times of the Gentiles.

We are at a tipping point, on the cusp & precipice of being on the edge of a cliff with this generation which is staring down at a dark abyss of no return, to reach them.

Even those without His Spirit can sense it.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision right now.

We have such great hope of His soon return!

Danger: Stagnant Water

Stagnant water is an incubator for malaria, encephalitis, typhoid, cholera, pathogens, bacteria, diseases, mildew, parasites, mold, viruses, e.coli, amoebas, maggots, etc. It can be fatal if swallowed. It is lukewarm. It will, at the very least, produce nausea and vomiting. Signs need to be posted.

Once again, the spiritual follows the natural.

Laodicea was located in Asia Minor-4 miles north of the modern city of Denizli in southwestern Turkey. Laodiceans had to get hot water from the closest thermal springs and cold water from nearby mountains, but by the time these waters reached Laodicea, they were both lukewarm and unusable.

Jesus Christ told this church, "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue (vomit) thee out of my mouth." Rev. 3:15,16.

Spiritually, if we are lukewarm, we have the same issues stagnant water has. All of them!

If we are in this condition, perhaps our church sign should say, Danger: Stagnant Water.

Prevailing Prayer

main image

The greatest offensive weapon of the church: PREVAILING PRAYER.

Prevail by definition-"to persevere and gain absolute triumph."

Let's come out of Laodicea. We haven't arrived yet.

Consider 1 Chronicles 16:11; Acts 1:14; Acts 2:42; Ephesians 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; James 5:17,18; 1 Peter 5:8; Matthew 16:18; James 4:6; etc.

Church of the living God-please push it through in prevailing prayer! Jesus Christ had to. Are we now to believe we don't?

Stop playing defense, focusing on past mistakes or what hasn't happened yet, thinking no-one really wants this message or lifestyle, or feeling like a perpetual, helpless victim of circumstances. This is not meant to be unsympathetic at all to those of us who struggle.

There's no church growth, impact, revival, resource, etc., we can't have with prevailing prayer in the will and timing of God, also assuming a follow up effort to evangelize and reap a harvest that is BEYOND OVERRIPE!

The only thing that can stop this is the church itself.
